Карточки. Все слова собраны в наборы карточек на платформе квизлет. Там можно прослушать каждое слово, “выбросить” уже выученные слова и оставить новые для повторения. Запоминание слов - это критически важная часть работы по изучению языка и хорошо бы найти свой способ делать это эффективно. Карточки (на специальных платформах/приложениях или просто бумажные, собственноручно изготовленные) - это такой классический подход. Для себя я просто на листке бумаги несколько слов записываю (японский сейчас учу) и периодически в течение дня на него поглядываю. А для учеников привыкла составлять эти наборы на квизлет, большинству это удобно.

Интерактивные задания. Это ссылки на внешние ресурсы, где можно поупражняться по теме шага; там всё должно быть интуитивно понятно.

Текст для перевода. Генерируется с помощью ИИ и редактируется мной. Иногда степень «сюрреализма» может зашкаливать, потому что в текст нужно встроить почти всю лексику шага и не выйти за рамки уже изученной грамматики. Приходится идти на компромиссы. Но именно это упражнение - ключевое. Готовый перевод прилагается, но воспринимать его как единственно возможный вариант не стоит.

Видео. Очень рекомендую смотреть! Там будут разные ролики: уличные интервью, где прохожих о чём-то спрашивают (иногда специально провоцируя их на использование определенных конструкций); преподаватели-носители с объяснениями грамматики и произношения; фрагменты из фильмов и сериалов.

В общем, «Английский за 100 шагов» - это один из тысяч способов учить язык, который, как и все остальные, потребует сотен часов регулярной практики, напряжённой мыслительной деятельности, борьбы с ленью и сопротивлением и - главное - самостоятельной работы. Можно сколько угодно ходить к преподавателю, но язык по-настоящему усваивается тогда, когда мы делаем домашку и проводим те самые часы наедине с ним. Итак, приступим:

I am at a party in my friend’s house, and the evening starts quietly. During the first minutes I don’t talk much, because I look for someone I know.
