Red Bull Racing is a Formula 1 team from Austria. It was created in 2005 when the energy drink company Red Bull bought another team. Their main base is in Milton Keynes, England.
Red Bull became really strong in the early 2010s. With driver Sebastian Vettel, they won four World Championships in a row (from 2010 to 2013). After a few slower years, they returned to the top with Max Verstappen — a Dutch driver who became World Champion in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Their cars are easy to recognise: they are blue, red, and yellow — the same colours as the Red Bull drink. The team is known for creative ideas, fast pit stops, and clever strategies during races.
Red Bull also has a second team called AlphaTauri (now called Visa Cash App RB), which helps young drivers get experience in F1.
McLaren is one of the oldest and most successful teams in Formula 1. It was founded in 1963 by a New Zealand driver named Bruce McLaren. The team is from the United Kingdom, and its factory is in Woking, England.
McLaren has won 8 Constructors’ Championships and 12 Drivers’ Championships in its history. In the 1980s and 1990s, they were one of the strongest teams. Legendary drivers like Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost raced for them and won many races.
For some years, McLaren was not very fast. But recently, they are getting better again. Their cars now have a bright orange colour — it’s called “papaya,” and it’s very easy to see on the track! Today, their drivers are Lando Norris (from the UK) and Oscar Piastri (from Australia). Both are young and very talented.
McLaren also builds supercars and works in technology and engineering outside of racing.
Mercedes is a German Formula 1 team. It started racing in F1 in 2010, but the brand has a long history in motorsport. The team is based in England, near a town called Brackley. Their cars are usually silver — that’s why people sometimes call them “the Silver Arrows.”
Mercedes became very strong in the 2010s. From 2014 to 2020, they won the Constructors’ Championship (that means they were the best team) every year! Their most famous driver was Lewis Hamilton. He won six of his seven world titles with Mercedes. Now, the team also has George Russell, a young and fast British driver.
The team works very hard on technology. They use computers, wind tunnels, and smart engineers to make their car faster and safer. Even when they don’t win, they never stop trying.
