IDEONELLA SAKAIENSIS – БАКТЕРИЯ, ПИТАЮЩАЯСЯ ПЛАСТИКОМ
Группа специалистов из японского университета Кэйо открыла новый штамм бактерий, способный при помощи вырабатываемых ферментов расщеплять полиэтилентерефталат (ПЭТ), один из самых часто используемых видов пластика. ПЭТ применяется в производстве ёмкостей различного вида и назначения (в первую очередь бутылок и пищевых контейнеров и плёнок).
Проанализировав 250 образцов почвы на прилегающей территории завода по переработке пластиковых бутылок из ПЭТ, ученые обнаружили, что из всех обитающих в этих условиях бактерий только один штамм способен полностью разрушать тонкую пленку из ПЭТ в течение 6 недель при температуре 30°C. Микроорганизм получил название Ideonella sakaiensis 201-Ф6.
Ученые отмечают, что действие ферментов Ideonella sakaiensis уникально в животном мире, а значит, данный вид микроорганизма мог сформироваться недавно ввиду быстрого приспособления к изменениям окружающей среды.
